OLAX Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to perform PMC activities on full time basis for a major integrated refinery project. The individual will be responsible for all pipeline engineering activities on behalf of the client team. Key responsibilities: Manage the pipeline engineering activities for client and ensure that contractor deliverables conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the client policies and procedures Provide direction and guidance on all pipeline technical queries relating to pipeline workscope Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary Review and check vendor document / data / information for compliance with the projects specifications. Review of pipeline route selections Review mechanical design, i.e. wall thickness, preliminary stress analysis, expansion analysis, and free-span analysis Review of material take-offs, material specifications and data sheets Review Pipeline FEED scopes of work Review pipeline FEED schedules and Cost Estimate Review and preparation of lessons learnt Review of change requests Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 10+ years experience of working with a major EPC Contractor, operator and/or equipment supplier Refinery project experience PMC experience Chartered Engineer Must be willing to travel Start date: Based upon project schedule Remuneration: Negotiable and based upon experience Duration: One year fixed term contract (staff or contract basis)
